Well this is an interesting question. Carbs are our bodies overall energy source which must be used for all body functions ESPECIALLY BRAIN FUNCTION AND EXERCISE. This is the main fuel your body used when you are here, thus it is extremely important to replenish these after a workout. If you are eating too much protein to compensate for your carbs, your body will actually take the calories from protein and turn them into usable carbs for energy. All you are doing is actually slowing down your metabolisms function because of that extra step you are causing your digestive tract to do. Carbs are essential. Don't be afraid of them. Keep in mind you must eat quality carbs (100% whole grain products, long grain brown rice, sweet potatoes, FRUITS etc) while using the correct serving size, and your metabolism will be a machine. Happy Training
BRING IT!!
